Ruhrgebiet (fan expansion for Age of Steam)

Welcome to the heart of industrial Europe, the Ruhrgebiet. A region where cities don't grow, but rather merge into one another. Where steelworks, coal mines, railway lines, and rivers have shared a dense network of infrastructure and industry for decades. Side by side, track to track. But what if you started from scratch today? No existing connections, no historical routes. Just the task of building the most complex railway network this region has ever seen.

In this solo challenge for Age of Steam, the focus isn't just on efficiency, but on intricacy: your goal is to construct a highly dense network that demands every type of track construction. From elegant curves to intricate overpasses and parallel lines. You must read the terrain, cleverly connect cities and navigate around narrow terrain, all while using your tactical skills to the fullest.

Can you transform the region and show that you are the true network master of the Ruhrgebiet?
