Våroffer is a cooperative game where the players aim to solve a case that is part of the late detective Yngve Ek's legacy. The detective agency was based in Uppsala and active from the late 1920s up until the detectives passing in 1977. The game's design aimes to mirror its location and setting in time.
Våroffer is the third case published and developed by Vintage Mysteries. The game includes interview protocols, a photograph, a newspaper cutting and other evidence material to help the players follow in the tracks of the detective and discover the culprit/culprits behind the brutal murders of two university students. It touches upon themes of Norse mythology, archaeology, university culture, and academic avarice The case is full of historical details and ambiance.
