It’s time to step up from armchair manager to head coach and try your hand at building the ultimate hockey team. It’s draft time! Will luck be on your side? But victory isn't guaranteed yet; even if you manage to snag some promising players, you’ll need to use strategy and plan winning lineups during the game to come out on top!
The game is structured in two distinct phases: a draft and a match. During the draft, players take turns bidding on card tiers-Superstars, Rookies, Free Agents, and Veterans-using a specialized recruitment die to secure talent and build a final roster of nine forwards, six defensemen, and one goaltender.
Once rosters are locked, the board is flipped to the rink side for a three-period match where players act as head coaches. Opponents secretly deploy line combinations, face off by comparing card skill levels, execute 2-on-1 attacking sequences, and strip away a goalie's save tokens until a goal is scored. The manager who puts the puck past the opposing goaltender the most times by the end of the third period wins.
