In Delulu, the goal is to finish with the lowest value set of cards. Each player starts with four face-down cards arranged in a 2x2 grid and can look at only two of them at the beginning of the round. After that, players must rely on memory and the information they gather during the game to keep track of their own cards and figure out what other players might have.
On a turn, a player draws a card and can swap it with one of their face-down cards or discard it. Some cards have powers that let players look at their own or other players' cards, swap cards, skip turns, and play the 'Disrupt' powers that change the information or cards in play. Players can also make Quick Throws outside their turn by discarding a card they believe matches another card being discarded. A correct Quick Throw helps them get rid of a card, while an incorrect one results in a penalty.
When a player believes they have the lowest value set of cards, they can call “Delulu.” All cards are immediately revealed, and the round is scored. The caller receives a scoring advantage if they were correct and a penalty if they were not. Scores accumulate over multiple rounds. The game ends when any player reaches 50 cumulative points. The player with the lowest total score wins.
