Pasar is a simulation of a mini commodities stock market set in Indonesia, where players buy and sell food goods from a small market stall (warung). It blends an engaging theme with core trading principles, offering a fun yet educational look at market dynamics.
All players start with the same amount of capital and must choose how to invest. Turns are simultaneous: each round, a player rolls the die to shift prices across all goods simultaneously on a single sliding scale. Although all goods move together, each commodity carries a different risk profile-requiring players to strategically decide whether to buy, sell, or hold.
The game is played over a set number of rounds, and the player with the most money at the end wins. With short playtimes, Pasar is designed to be played across multiple sessions, allowing players to test strategies and track whether they can consistently turn a profit over their starting capital.
