Sakebato is a small card game designed to be played on the table at a bar or at a gathering at home. Every card in the deck shows a drink together with its alcohol content, ranging from water at 0% up to tequila at 40%.
In the main game, Sake Chicken Race, players take turns drawing a card and then playing one card from their hand onto a shared pile, announcing the running total of the alcohol content as they do so. The player who pushes that total above 100% loses the round, while landing exactly on 100% is safe. A player who plays a water card instead removes one drink already in the pile, lowering the total and returning both cards to the deck. Announcing the wrong total also costs a player the round.
The same deck supports three further games. In Sake E-Card, two players each reveal one card at the same time and the higher alcohol content wins the pair, except that water beats tequila. Tequila Roulette has players flip cards one at a time from a face-down spread until someone turns over a tequila and loses. In Sake Poker, players discard and draw across three rounds to build the strongest combination of matching drinks, with one of each of the five drinks ranking highest of all.
Each of the four games resolves in one to three minutes. They are written to be played as drinking games, with the loser of a round taking a drink, but none of the rules require alcohol and all four can be played with soft drinks.
