Hanafuda:
Hanafuda is a traditional Japanese card game played with beautifully illustrated cards representing flowers and seasons. Players match cards according to various game rules, with popular variations such as Koi-Koi. Combining strategy, luck, and Japanese cultural motifs, Hanafuda has been enjoyed in Japan for generations and remains a unique part of Japanese gaming culture.
Set up:
Each player starts with 6 cards in hand. Place 6 cards face-up in the field, and keep the rest as the draw pile.
Cards you win during the game go into your collected cards area.
How to Play:
1.Play one card from your hand to the field.
2.Draw 1 card from the deck.
3.Place taken cards in your collection zone and check for hands.
※If a hand is formed, declare “Koi-Koi” or “Finish”
※Declaring “Koi-Koi” lets you go for more points next round
4.Opponent’s turn.
※Repeat steps 1–3 in turns.
※A round ends when someone declares “Agari” or both players run out of cards.
