In LEXIGONS, two rival wordsmiths battle for control of a shifting field of hexes. Each letter placed claims new ground, links with existing letters, and opens fresh paths for bigger words. But territory alone isn’t enough-you must control the majority of letters in a word to score it.
Build longer words, block your opponent, reclaim valuable vowels, and race to 30 points. On this battlefield, every hex can change the game.
Lasercut Components
• Hexagonal game board with two built-in scoring tracks
• Two sets of 30 letter tiles in contrasting colors
Setup
1. Each player chooses a tile set as their Letter Supply and places the tiles upside down near their end of the board.
2. Place both scoring markers at 0.
3. Randomly choose the starting player.
4. That player takes a random tile from their supply and places it in the middle of the board.
How to Play
Players alternate turns. On your turn:
1. Select a random letter from your supply.
2. Place the letter on the board, adjacent to an existing tile.
3. Look for a word of minimum length.
If a word is found, call it out and score it, then remove one of its vowels and return it face down to your supply.
Valid Word
• Contains at least 4 letters (unless using the 3-letter rule)
• Must include the letter you just placed
• May travel in any direction
• May bend or zigzag from hex to hex
• Cannot use the same hex twice in one word
• Must be a recognized word.
Letters belonging to either player may be used, but at least half of the letters must be yours.
Forming the Word
To form a word, more than half of its letters must be of your color.
If the players have an equal number of letters in a word, neither player controls it. This means your opponent's letters can help you make a word-but you need the majority to claim it.
