Об игре
Vowelocity is a fast-paced word game in which 1-4 players roll their choice of two, three or four dice and race to create a matching word before the timer runs out. Vowels are precious so do not use more than once per word.
Rolling more dice lets you collect more letters, but longer words are harder to make-especially because every word may contain no more than one vowel.
Objective
Create valid two-, three- and four-letter words to collect letter tiles. At the end of the game, add together the point values of all the letters you collected. The player with the highest score wins.
Components
30 A-Z letter tiles, numbered 1-6
4 D6 dice
4 Vowel Rescue tokens.
Letter Tiles
Every letter tile displays one number, 1-6, used to determine whether the tile can be selected upon the dice roll.
Setup
Place all letter tiles face up in the centre of the table.
Give each player one Vowel Rescue token.
Place the four dice.
If you plan to use a time limit, set a timer on your cell phone for 30 or 60 seconds.
Choose a starting player.
Taking a Turn
At the beginning of your turn, choose whether to roll:
Two dice to attempt a two-letter word
Three dice to attempt a three-letter word
Four dice to attempt a four-letter word
Roll the chosen dice and immediately start your timer.
You must create a word containing exactly the same number of letters as the number of dice you rolled.
Selecting Letters
Upon rolling the dice, choose one available letter tile for each die. The number on each selected tile must match one of the numbers rolled.
Each die may be matched to only one letter tile.
You may rearrange the selected letters in any order to create your word.
The dice determine which letters may be selected, but they do not determine the order of the letters in the word.
