Dragons love two things.

Sleeping on huge piles of treasure and eating delicious treats... Especially cupcakes!

Frosted. Chocolate. Cupcakes.

As the mayor of your village, you are duty-bound to provide your citizens protection. And as it happens, the absolute best way to secure that protection is to use cupcakes and loot to entice a dragon to come live in your village.
