This is the period following the Thirty Years War and English Civil Wars and includes the famous battles of the Boyne, Sedgemoor and Vienna. Technologically, this era includes improvements in musketry, leading to the transition between the earlier Pike and Shot units to the widespread adoption of the bayonet.
